What the Comments Section Still Teaches Brands About Buyers
Dashboards changed the scale of measurement. They did not replace reading what people actually wrote.
A comments section is an honest place. Nobody there is obligated to be interested, and nobody softens their objection for you.
That makes it a useful teacher. In the replies you learn which benefit a buyer repeats in their own words, which price point causes hesitation, and which feature nobody asks about at all.
Analytics are excellent at volume, targeting, and iteration speed. What they are less able to do is notice the question asked three different ways by three different people in the same afternoon.
Used together, the two reinforce each other. The numbers tell you what is happening. The replies tell you why.
For brands deciding how much of this to staff, we would suggest a narrower question than organic or paid: where in this purchase does a person need to be answered before they will commit?
